Born in 1975 in Dnipropetrovsk (former Soviet Union), lives in Moscow. After graduating from Oryol Art School, he admired the sea and became a navigator, traveling the seven seas. In 1982, he returned to the art world and developed works with themes of the sea and ships. In 2017, he organized the first Antarctic Biennale as a commissioner. He has also presented numerous projects at the Venice Biennale and the Venice Architecture Biennale.
