Mori Radio Station × SHIN-YUU-KAI club

2024.3.23-5.26 *Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (except 4.30 and 5.1) | Tsukizaki and Tabuchi, Ichihara City

The "Mori Radio Station" opened in 2014, reconsidering the relationship between people and nature by treating the old Kominato Railway hut at Tsukizaki Station as a forest. The volunteer group "Moriyu-kai" maintains and manages the station all year round, and it continues to be treasured by locals. During the event, there will be a project where you can tune in to the radio and enjoy traveling from forest to forest, as well as a workshop on playing in the forest.

●Please refer to the event page for details of the workshop.

In the meandering area upstream of the Yoro River, many hand-dug tunnels and cuts remain that were built to open the Kominato Railway and roads.
You can feel the majesty of nature in the mountains approaching the river and the deep valleys. In 2020, the approximately 770,000-year-old strata in Tabuchi became the international standard for the geological age "Chibanian," and the area is gradually becoming one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the prefecture.
