Born in Ishikawa Prefecture. Completed Master's degree in Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Slade, University of London. Produced based in London and Kanazawa. He combines video, three-dimensional, two-dimensional works, etc., and develops space/time installations composed of these to express his unique worldview. He shines a light on specific motifs from the repetitive movement of moving back and forth between his own memories and the memories of others, creating a series of works that evoke a sense of ephemerality and nostalgia with a certain kind of universality. Main exhibitions include “Memoriaparalela” Museo Universidad de Navarra (2019, Pamplona, Spain), “Latent Image Revealed” Kanagawa Arts Theater (2017, Yokohama), “Under the Box, Beyond the Bounds” Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery/Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (2014, Tokyo/Victoria BC, Canada), etc.
