Bunpei Kado

Japan

Born in Fukui in 1978. A Japanese artist currently active mainly in Tokyo but also in Asia. The essence of Kaku's work is the rediscovery of everyday life. Horns try to create new meanings by combining common everyday objects like puzzles, shifting their original functions and contents. The works that Kado creates sometimes deal with heavy themes that can be considered dark in modern society, but the way he approaches them is analytical, always bright, and unique. Their appearance is well expressed through pop art that looks like toys at first glance, and everyday life that can be understood by men and women of all ages. French art critic Clelia Zelnick described Kaku's work as having a ``coexistence of lightness and heaviness'' that ``reveals the invisible contradictions and absurdities of modern society.'' ``Leap'' clearly indicates the role that art plays in society. He actively participates in art fairs and international group exhibitions, attracting attention from people in the art world both domestically and internationally.
